world war 1 touching poem

i believe that this poem has touched many hearts and i believe
it has touched mine.
I like the way that the author has carefully placed his words and the way he wrote the story.

  1. Hi Vallancio
I'm really pleased you put the link to the poem so I could look it up easily.

I also like this poem and I have some picture books about the poppies that grew in the war fields. I'll try to bring them to school for you to have a look at.
Do you know if any of your family fought in this war?

  2. Hi Vallanico,

Well done on the Flander's Fields activity, you have done such an awesome job at describing why you like the poem. I think there is a very strong message behind the poem and like that it reminds everyone of the sacrifices men and women made to fight for our freedom.

Isn't it incredible that years and years later, a poem can still have such an impact when you read it. Have you been to an Anzac Service before?
